On #ThisDayInHistory in 2023, the #IDF destroyed the #GreatOmariMosque in #GazaCity. Built atop an old #Philistine temple site in the 7th century, named for the 2nd caliph, and rebuilt after #Mongols wrecked it. It was also bombed by Britain in 1917. Its loss now is unforgivable.
