Interpersonal style? in which she understands or feels on a deep level that asking people for things gives them social advantage or power. You can maintain social power by getting them to offer you things and selectively accepting or (most of the time) declining the offers.
I don't think this is conscious; it's just the way she navigates the world. So she asks for relatively little.
As for getting her all three albums, I'd totally do it except one of them (#GreatComet broadway cast recording) has never had a vinyl pressing. I think I found a copy of #HadesTown on Discogs, and kid's mom is looking for the third item.
