Managed to get a 15 mile ride in around the valley today. They keep building out farther every year, because who doesn't get sick of unobstructed views of the mountains, right? At least they've stuck to single level homes for many of the newer developments. Tahoe has building moratoriums for the Eastshore (Nevada side), but Reno-Sparks is still expanding by the year. Tahoe is losing their power supplier next year due to data centers diverting resources from the power grid. Add to that the effects of warmer winters, which means less snowpack for water storage, and voilà...
