Pretty excited to share the news of the 1.0 release of my newest open-source project, Grav Helios Course Hub – the successor to my original Open Course Hub project.
Built entirely as a plugin, it transforms the Grav Premium Helios theme into a multi-course companion site. One hub, any number of courses, context-aware search, and all content is stored as simple Markdown text files.

An open-source course hub for educators seeking alternatives to proprietary LMS platforms. Built on flat-file Grav CMS with the Grav Premium Helios theme – self-hosted, version-controlled, and designed for single or multi-course teaching.
The successor to my very first open-source project is almost here – Grav Helios Course Hub 1.0, nearly two months in the making. Transforms the Grav Premium Helios theme into a modern companion site for single or multiple courses, with course-aware search, Git Sync, and all content in portable #Markdown files.

Hey fellow #GravCMS fans 👋🏻
I've just put together a small plugin called Admin Helios Refresh that gives the Grav Admin Panel theme a bit more of a modern feel — zinc dark nav, accessible blues, rounded corners, subtle shadows, and focus rings. It's Helios-inspired but works with any Grav site.
Repo is at https://github.com/hibbitts-design/grav-plugin-admin-helios-refresh — README has install instructions.
Working on Helios-inspired Grav Admin Panel styling for the upcoming Helios Course Hub project. Coordinating zinc colours across nav, surfaces, links and badges to match the Helios theme, plus rounded corners, hover transitions, and improved type sizing - all accessible at WCAG AA. Togglable with a single setting in the plugin.👇🏼
The Grav CMS continues to impress me after all these years.
