For 35 years I've been telling myself that i just have no talent to #draw anything that's not a diagram.
Anytime i doodled around, I had proof that drawing is not my forte.
Then I bought myself a #graphicstablet. The smallest i could find that would work with Linux, a Wacom Intuos Small for like 50β¬.
I was already using #krita, but with the tablet suddenly a lot of stuff got easy. All those brushes suddenly were useful.
And while my drawings look miles, if not lightyears away from being professional, they look fine.
Perfectly serviceable for my D&D games.
I even think the drawings are better than the final coloured images.
And i am bummed no one gave me such a tablet in 1997. 15-yr-old me would have been very happy to have some kind of artistic talent. π₯Ί
Even if a time machine would have to have been involved...

The new char is a #shapeshifter that took 2 appearances from people with their permission, a man and a woman. So what I needed for pictures was a man and a woman wearing the same armor and clothing.
That's just not something any LLM available to me can do. Metal plates are mandatory for leather armor, and women have to have boob cups. Or boob windows. π
But between creating the char and needing it, I picked up a #graphicstablet. So I drew them myself, starting from #poses I stole from the internet.
I'm not 100% happy with how they turned out, but they look sooooo much better that before the tablet. I might update my status to #aspiringArtist π

rootikaI am thinking about buying a graphics tablet for trying out digital drawing.
I have a feeling that I probably don't like it that much but am still curious. Maybe I should buy something like an Gaomon S620 to test this?
Last time I used a graphics tablet was when my sister bought a cheap entry level wacom tablet in maybe 2010. This Gaomon tablet must be at least as capable as that wacom tablet, right?
