Better approach to #grandmasMarathon by my son this year - reserve a hotel BEFORE registration opens! Got the same place we stayed last year, 40 minutes away from Duluth.
And he’s registered, so we know what we are doing 6/20/2026

Was preoccupied with prep for my son's run of #grandmasMarathon and completely missed that June 18 was my *21st* anniversary on @WiGLEnet
Been doing the #wardrive since 2004. The rigs have come SO far in that time. The wireless tech has propagated to unimaginable density.
And I'm here to put #dotsOnMaps and capture #allTheWifi (and BlueTooth) that will show it's face :)
Thanks to @ArkFromWiGLE
and @bobzilla
and #uhtu AND the Community for keeping this hobby going!
My son ran his first ever marathon at Grandma’s this morning in Duluth.
Finished in 2:59:46
I am endlessly PROUD of him, having stuck to his training program & put in over 800 miles along the way. His splits were almost perfect, consistent to nearly a 1 second variance. He ran the race he planned, and the course rewarded him!
Funny when you are at the local in small town northern MN (Mcgregor) and you get a glass from your home town (Minneapolis) brewery containing the (Two Harbors) local!
#castleDanger Cream Ale - Creamy smooth and malty, slightly sweet, refreshing
My son registered for #grandmasMarathon

Hmm, where should we stay?
Anything reasonably priced less than 50 miles from Duluth - sold out already
What about the dog? Oh yeah, her…pet friendly hotels? The offerings shrink…
Found a place about an hour west, comfortable, not that Taj Mahal but it’ll do!
Hey, whatever #aerialadvertising company was flying over #Duluth all #GrandmasMarathon weekend:
1) We’re in a climate crisis, idiot, quit shilling hard seltzer or whatever from a private airplane!
2) We’ve had air quality alerts all week!
3) I couldn’t read your stupid banner anyway because you printed it too small!
