Considering actually trying for graduate school in computer science, and I'm wondering: my undergrad is in chemistry but I have substantial industry experience and have built things. One of the universities I'm looking at requires non-CS kittens to take some basic CS courses... would I have to do that, I wonder, or...

I think the idea of more gatekeeping filled me with a certain despair.

Why are we doing in-person graduate school interviews again?!!!

So many advantages to the virtual interview and later in-person recruitment in terms of increasing diversity.

Plus, we are flying ppl around the country burning tons of jet fuel unnecessarily.

Finally, covid.
