#Goverments around the world are pushing hard to adchive a total #control over #InternetAccess and as usually they will find the way to do it. I will oppose as long as possible by using any opportunity to protect my #privacy on-line. Hope projects as #GraphineOS #Fediverse and #Tutamail will keep their ground for years to come.

Interesting and depressing article on so many levels.

‘… Over the years, a culture of secrecy, shady business practices and government corruption seeped into the project.’

‘ … Mr. Fellin explained that he had the clear impression that “the idea was that since they had already spent so much public money, the project needed to be completed, whether it worked or not.”’

What is the purpose of paying then if you aren't going to verify your ID then? #Twitter is pretending it is some small #Youtube channel that needs financial support.

Maybe they should just create a #Patreon. #Goverments would love bailing out another billionaire, and fans of #ElonMusk would most probably just throw money at him.

And yet the #goverments response hasn't just been silence on the issue, worse its been to reduce the qualifications, checks and standards on new #police recruits, to try and reverse the cuts THEY made over the last 10 years quickly because its become politically bad for them.

@futurism I agree and believe this, but the bottleneck will be due to restricted access. However #goverments and #techgiants will have access to them. This will be bad for #netneutrality and we won't even know that they are looking at our data.

#quantumcomputing is a danger to #privacy.
