The West Kirk (now Helensburgh Parish Church) on Colquhoun Square in Helensburgh to the west of Glasgow. Built in a Gothic style, it was originally designed by J.W. and J. Hay. The porch in the foreground was added by William Leiper in 1892.

Kenmuir Mount Vernon Church on London Road in the East End of Glasgow. This beautiful little Gothic style church with it octagonal pencil tower topped by a belfry and spire was built in 1883.

Today's #PhotoOfTheDay takes us to Gotland in Sweden.

Visby has a large number of ruined churches but the one that I found the most beautiful was the Gothic S:ta Karin ruin (Saint Catherine's ruin). Originally constructed by the Franciscan Order in the 13th century but never completed it was dedicated to St Catherine of Alexandria.
