🇨🇭 12/10/2025 Gornergrat (3089 m)
Enfin arrivés à Gornergrat grâce au train à à crémaillère (depuis Zermatt).
La vue est vraiment à couper le souffle, on est entouré de glaciers alpins, sommets majestueux, et surtout le Mont Cervin (Matterhorn).
On va profiter de la vue, de la plateforme panoramique et en profiter pour boire un coup à plus de 3000 mètres d'altitude.

The #Interrail journey through #Switzerland continued with a rather short trip from #Montreux to #Zermatt where I stayed for another two nights.

There was enough time for some #Winter #Hiking around #Täsch and Zermatt as well as a trip to the #Gornergrat with the #GornergratRailway. Although I lost my return ticket at the peak and had to rebuy to get back to Zermatt I had a fantastic time!

The stunning view towards the #Matterhorn is something else to remember 😎.

The first piece is a photo taken by myself of the Gornergrat Bahn halted at the Gornergrat station with the famous Matterhorn in the background. According to Wikipedia, it is the second highest railway in Europe at an altitude of 3,089m (after the Jungfrau, which is also in Switzerland) and opened more than 100 years ago (1898 to be precise).
