why, why, why

is it nearly impossible to open a link inside of a Google sheet? hovering gives me some stupid preview and link manager, clicking the preview thumbnail (only sometimes!) opens a larger preview, and there is a tiny button there to open the link. BUT, since clicking the preview thumbnail only sometimes works, the other option is to just not open the link!

Yes, I can copy and paste, but wtf should I have to do that to open a link...on a web site!
