nrxia 🏳🌈🤘Another game down! I finished "Gone Home," not long ago. The story was good and I think the walking simulator formula worked well in telling it. It was short and sweet. It didn't overstay its welcome or get overly complicated. It was nice to be taken back to the 90's in the game too, with Super Nintendo games, punk rock on cassettes, chunky CRT TVs, and big stereos. Good times.

Ça frappe fort comme dans #GoneHome. C'est l'heure de vous exposer ma théorie sur cette pluie incessante dans le jeu qui n'a pas été mise au hasard.
L'aspect évident de cette pluie c'est l'ambiance. C'est le déluge, la maison est vide (je rappelle que la base du jeu c'est vous rentrez, personne n'est à la maison, que se passe-t-il ?), forcément une pluie diluvienne, interminable, ça ajoute une forme de gravité à la situation.
Paradoxalement, ça fait un bruit blanc, c'est appréciable, ça donne un côté rassurant (on est à l'abri, au sec), ça permet de ressentir un sentiment chaleureux, ça pousse l'immersion car ce côté chaleureux donne l'impression d'être chez soi.
Et puis tout simplement, au niveau du sens de l'histoire. Puisque la pluie, trop torrentielle, nous empêche de sortir, on est bien obligé·es de fouiller la maison !
Voilà je devrais aller dormir au lieu de tooter des choses évidentes 😭
