Das diesjährige Peru-Seminar konnte sich über prominenten Besuch freuen: Celia Fasabi, Vizepräsidentin der Vereinigung der indigenen Kukama-Frauen Huaynacana Kamatahuara Kana, deren Präsidentin gerade erst den renommierten Goldman-Umweltpreis gewonnen hatte, war zusammen mit Miriam Torres, Direktorin des Forum Solidaridad Perú in Lima, zwei Wochen in Deutschland. Ihre Reise, bei der sie zum Thema „Rechte der Natur aus indigener Perspektive“ informierten und diskutierten, begann auf dem Seminar der Infostelle Peru in Köln.

Indigenous campaigner and women’s leader, Mari Luz Canaquiri Murayari, from the Peruvian Amazon has been awarded the prestigious Goldman prize for environmental activists, after leading a successful legal campaign that led to the river where her people, the Kukama, live being granted legal personhood.

El Mar Menor en Murcia es la laguna salada más grande de Europa. Thinking of my mother's health on Mother's Day...
Where are the MacArthur genuis grant, dead seriously, the Nobel Peace Prize... other such prizes that "ideally" support the betterment of mankind? Fetzer, Noetic Institute, Goldman!? The fate of the planet no longer rest in the future. Any action taken now cannot be from the same paradigm that brought us here. Traditional routes of funding intrinsically don't have the capacity to imagine people liberated to be sufficient without the funders receiving a 'significant' impoverishing return from a majority of people. Sacklers, Dey, Lily, Woods and a million more names show us how to chain people to addiction, fantastic corporate profits and poverty for the majority of people. The sun doesn't follow that operating principle. Ecosystems and bioregions don't work that way. Earth's natural systems don't work that way. Aptera as it currently exists, a solar car company, is a bridge leaving behind consumption of this living planet, concentration to the fewest "deserving" entities.
To Goldman, Fetzer and others I say support a relationship to this planet mankind has largely heard rumors of. Aptera is a concrete step to seeing and valuing man's connection to the planet in a way of Peace and Power without domination without its destruction. Grantors, consider this company, please significantly fund it- now.
