Finally the first of the shrubs are opening their buds and carefully showing the first leaves. The trees, however, are still in a winter mood and not showing yellows, greens or reds. They are showing off their great narlene branches. Against the backdrop of slightly lighter trees, it works great to see only the main character in this picture.

At some moments I got lucky. Moments like this are extremely rare in the Netherlands. But when the circumstances are right and you're at the right moment on the spot, you can find these unique sceneries Often the sun will melt the rime within an hour or so. Therefore, I took this image just after sunrise. Cold outside, but warm on the inside with this picture. :)

A picture of the early autumn colors. This picture was taken in the middle of the day. Normally I mostly shoot during #sunrise for beautiful colors, but during autumn the colors are best visible in normal daylight. During my walk through this area, my eye fell on the small deck across the other side of the lake. And I was wondering how it would be there, sitting in the sun and enjoying the view.

On one of my photowalks, I saw this wunderfull view of the tree with leaves of gold. It got wrapped on the sites with trees. I really like this picture.

Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, all the autumn colors are standing glorious in the woods. For most photographers this is the best time to take pictures. For me personally, it's tough. Because family, work, sports and the late sunrises are not helping to go out at the moments I would like to. Yet I enjoy it double when I can go out.

The period between the summer and the autumn is always great for foggy mornings. When there's a little wind, the fog will not thicken and will pass in small strokes of damp. In Drenthe we'll call them "Witte Wiefen" (white wives), like the old stories. The white wives will lure passants into the unknown, never to be seen again…
