Yesterday afternoon, HUB had a #GoByBike Week Celebration Station in #NorthVancouver (near Welch and 1st Street, on the Spirit Trail). They had some maps, snacks, and free bike tune-ups.
The next North Shore Celebration Station will be near the Ambleside Park entrance tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct 1st).
As part of Fall #GoByBike Week some City of #NorthVancouver staff cycled (almost) every street in CNV. 156km and 2,400 m of elevation.
Fall #GoByBike Week is Sept 27 to Oct 3rd. There are 3 Celebration Stations on the North Shore:
Monday Sept 29, 4-6pm, Welch and 1st Street
Wednesday Oct 1st, 4-6pm, 13th and Argyle Ave (Ambleside Beach Entrance)
Thursday Oct 2nd, 7:30-10am, 13th Street between St Georges and St Andrews Ave (Lions Gate Hospital)
Every Friday in Langley, kids and parents join the Belmont Bike Bus—a fun, community-powered ride to school.
The growing movement tackles traffic congestion, promotes fitness, and proves car-dependent suburbs can change one ride at a time.
