FunFact: Die Devs von #GNUtaler-Projekt haben neulich sowas als ernsthafte Option angedeutet. Hintergrund: The Powers that be haben wenig Interesse an einem digitalen Euro, der per Blind-Signature funktioniert wie Bargeld, und promoten lieber Konto- zu -Konto-Überweisungen via #Wero, damit weiter wirklich jede Cent-Bewegung registriert und in Big Data gespeichert wird.

"Es müsste mal jemand" ein paar Milliönchen in die Hand nehmen.

Daumenpeilung: 7 Mio. Grundkapital plus 3 Mio Entwicklungs- und Personalkosten bis zur Bafin-Banklizenz.

One of the many reasons I'm proud to work on the #Taler digital payment system is that we focus on the needs of citizens. And as digitization continues, also how we pay, it is important to make digital payment systems inclusive for those who have difficulty when dealing with numbers.

yes but I don't think coops in the middle solve this either. they become more useful as they get bigger but that gives them more power and they can always eventually abuse that power. or maybe even just do something that only a quarter of the musicians hate. it can't sustain.

instead imo we need less work on competing systems, more work on protocols/APIs, apps and servers. and then a fuckton of advocacy for decentralized fiat.
