@drrimmer The 1.5C target itself wasn’t a dream, it was a very serious target to ensure minimum risk.
The dream was in thinking that this target was achievable without objective commitments from countries, without talking about fossil fuels, with technological magical thinking, “net zero” ambiguity, business as usual, fossil fuel delegates at negotiation tables, growth imperative, greenwashing, charlatan-led carbon offsetting.
