- So it does make sense given modern #engineering to do so.
As for the #blades there sadly doesn't seem to be much of an alternative to #composite #plastic which is not recycleable as even cutting it into pieces makes #GlassFiber shards that are jist barely less toxic as #asbestos.
- Rarely the cost to do so is worth the effort, given those ain't straight but curved pieces of #plastic...

DangerI really wish more 3D printing YouTubers would stress the safety issues of glass and fiber filled filaments. They really should look at their skin under a micrscope after handling it.
If I had a YouTube channel and people were getting glass fibers forever embedded in their skin because of a product I recommended I'd be pissed at myself.

The little #Skateboard company #KapeSkateboards [1] from #Linz, #Austria just released their first "Vanguard" deck. It is fully produced from #oceanplastic and #glassfiber. They produce the deck inhouse in Linz. It took them 5 years and about 1000 prototypes to develop it.

The Insectoid #exoskeleton is actually almost transparent, mostly made of #GlassFiber, having been painted metallic green/gold for beauty and #marketing reasons. Spikes and monster faces are optional.
It's worn as a - somewhat stiff - #zentai suit, with the engine, control computer, and #neural interface plugged at the #spine; the #wings are mounted over these.
