I was going to take a look at something on #glassdoor, i've not been on there in a few years.

and it requires you to be logged in to see anything - this kind of defeats the point of being a supposedly ANONYMOUS review site but whatever.

what is WORSE is that it then asks you to enter a phone number.

The screen to do this looks like it has been designed to trick users into assuming it's for 2FA.

The small print reads "By adding your number you agree to receive calls and texts from Indeed"

The idea of "too dangerous to be released" reminds me a lot of the Oppenheimer movie. We risk destroying the world: let's do it anyway.

What I truly can't understand is how people can be excited by the lies and blatant bullshit spread by some tech people.

But then, I remind myself how someone said he doesn't like smart people. And everything turns a bit more clear.

welp, abandoning my #glassdoor account, now.

I tried logging in. 2FA with email. OK. That worked. THEN 2FA with providing a phone number. NOT OK. But I use the service sometimes and I have a google voice number that isn't my actual cell number so... OK.

Then this shit. No opt-out anywhere.

Nope.
