Ma mère ne m’a jamais aidé, jamais encouragé. Seul mon père me soutenait. Pour eux, l’art et la musique étaient des mondes inconnus. Le seul “musicien” de la famille était le père de ma mère, qui jouait vaguement de la trompette.

Nous étions une petite famille typique de la classe ouvrière, avec sa vie rangée et monotone.
