One of my minor fascinations is with the way in which #erotic material was advertised in print publications a long time ago. The latest entrant in my cabinet of curiosities is a small magazine from 1895 offering "40 photographs of the most charming French girls in tights" for a dime (the cost of a piece of pie and a cup of coffee, roughly).
