Yesterday a posse of local Scouters and Guiders, young and old, attended the first planting of trees at our new Community Orchard.

It was very satisfying having a small band of people we know come join this community project that myself and one of our other Scout Leaders have been involved with from the start, and that everyone in the area can benefit from.

Last year #GirlGuidingUK announced that they would no longer allow trans girls to join their groups. I have been volenteering for GirlGuiding for most of my life, and am incredibly sad and angry at this descision. Last night our Brownie unit announced that we would be closing this summer (in part due to this update) and I don't plan on joining anotner unit as it goes against my ethics to give my time to a transphobic organisation.
