I guess #GhostKitchens ain't a thing in #Germany because #Restaurants have to have an actual #Kitchen that is up to Code to even be allowed to open up as business...

  • Yes, that even counts for #FoodTrucks and other #Event or non-permanent stalls including food vendors on markets and yes those need to have running water inside their booth, tent or vehicle!

Thinking about Uber Eats shutting down ghost kitchens, and what it can teach us about AI art. Seriously.

For years, UberEats has listed (and even encouraged!) virtual "ghost kitchens" with no physical location. Many are just one restaurant/food provider, listing the same menu under different names. Why? Well, the short answer is branding/marketing. But the long answer is network dynamics.

The Burger Den IS Denny's! 🤣

I work #DoorDash so can confirm. 🤣

There are tons of #GhostKitchens here in San Jose.

How to know if your ordering from one:

- The name is too cute but half to be a real restaurant. “Super Mega Dilla" and "Thrilled Cheese" are two from #IHop but they're all "witty" so as to catch your eye.

- if they won't let you pick up in person, that's a pretty good sign.

- Check #GoogleMaps
