Me and my dad watched "Ghost Dog" (1999) separately but at the same time, and we got completely different lessons.
For a long time, I thought the quote from #hagakure talked of dodging the drops, not just ignoring the rain.
But it does not, and my father had the right understanding, perhaps.

Ok, I get it... I think.

The whole reason the gangsters had to kill #GhostDog is the girl, Louise, is a gangster too, and she witnessed someone making a hit on Handsome Frank, so they HAD to retaliate.

And that's why the crack about sexism later in the movie is relevant. Because of chauvanism/sexism, Ghost Dog didn't see her as a gangster, and kept letting her live.
