We watched Ghost Cat Anzu. It was fun and chill. Has a very Satoshi Kon feel to it.

A girl is dropped off at her family's shrine as her father handles business. But there is an immortal cat spirit there. And he's a bit of a slub.

It was made similar to Fantastic Mr Fox. With similar tone. So I recommend the Jp, subbed version.
