The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice announces that its investigators have prevented the forced marriage of three girls in the Giru and Nawai districts of Ghazni province.

In a press release, the ministry stated that the girls’ fathers had attempted to force their daughters into marriage in exchange for money, but the marriages were prevented through the cooperation of religious scholars, tribal leaders, and the efforts of the investigators.

The press release states that the parties involved have been summoned to the Ghazni office of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, and they have pledged to refrain from any actions against Sharia law in the future.

The head of the Ghazni office of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice stated that consent from the girls is essential regarding marriage in Islam, and any form of coercion or force in this area is against Sharia law.

He urged families to support the legitimate needs of their children while adhering to religious and moral values and principles.

هغه له کورنیو غوښتي څو د دیني او اخلاقي ارزښتونو او اصولو په رعایتولو سره د خپلو اولادونو له شرعي غوښتنو ملاتړ وکړي.
