She chose her name in 1843, when she started traveling to push for emancipation of the enslaved. She released an autobiography that she dictated to a friend, Olive Gilbert, to support her work. She moved to Harmonia, MI in 1857, and made that her home until her death on November 26, 1883. We discovered Puzzles of Color a few years ago, right around the time we were talking more seriously about starting our puzzle company. We did "Comfort & Joy" by Paul Kellam, a 500 piece holiday puzzle and enjoyed it immensely. We have several others of their puzzles in our "to do" pile!
