VP News – Vietato Parlare: L’Iran ha insegnato alla Cina che le basi americane non proteggono nessuno

Formula 1: Antonelli wins also the Canadian GP. Ferrari second and fourth.
AGI – Andrea Kimi Antonelli on Mercedes wins the Canadian Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2026 F1 World Championship. The Bolognese driver takes his fourth consecutive win and capitalizes on George Russell’s retirement (due to problems with his Mercedes) to reach 131 points in the standings, +43 ahead of his teammate.
Vintage race by Lewis Hamilton, who overtakes Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in the battle for second place and achieves his best career result with Ferrari. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) is in fourth place, subdued and manages to limit the damage in a weekend that started and ended on the wrong foot.
Retirements and final standings
Retirements for Lando Norris (McLaren), forced to stop due to a gearbox problem. Out of the top ten is Oscar Piastri, who paid McLaren’s choice to start with intermediate tires. Isack Hadjar (Red Bull), fifth, Franco Colapinto (Alpine), sixth, Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), seventh, Pierre Gasly (Alpine), eighth, Carlos Sainz (Williams), ninth, and Oliver Bearman (Haas), tenth.
Hamilton’s words
“I thank the entire team, which has helped me a lot after a very difficult year. It’s fantastic to return to the podium on this track and I’m happy to have fought alongside Verstappen. I love this track and this result is very encouraging for the next races. We are working hard to bring further updates, but getting second on a circuit where top speed counted so much seems encouraging.” – So says Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) after second place in the Canadian Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2026 F1 World Championship.
