My dear late father sometimes spoke of TV shows of old that also happened to be really well done. He recalled "77 Sunset Strip" and "Route 66." I only ever got to experience them myself many years after his passing, with the advent of digital subchannels and YouTube. (Though I don't remember him mentioning it, I would add "The Saint.")
