A sleepy, quiet Tuesday morning with an absolute legend.

This reissue is an abridged version of the original 1964 album, as it leaves off both “Maybe Little Baby” and “New Baby For Christmas”.
Which is fine, as they’re probably the worst two songs on the album.

ALL George Jones friggin rules, but I lean more towards the 50s and 60s George with the flat-top hair than I do late 60s and 70s “possum” long hair George, even though his later period is recognized as having some of the greatest recordings of his career.

I love it all, but “Boy Scout George” is where I started as a kid, so there’s more of a sentimental attachment to that stuff.

Can’t go wrong with ANY George though.
