I've loved Mark Knopfler since that late 70s night when a friend & I were mesmerized by a song we heard on his car radio: it was "Sultans of Swing" (Dire Straits)!

Nothing tops that first mind-blowing experience, but only it makes me doubt that "Why Aye Man" is Knopfler's best song.

It's the most elegant critique of Thatcherism I've heard, & beautiful to boot!
