Nach zwei rekordverdächtig warmen Jahren in Folge waren die Temperaturen 2025 nicht ganz so extrem, im Vergleich zum langjährigen Mittel aber immer noch weit überdurchschnittlich. Das zu Ende gehende Jahr gehört zu den acht wärmsten seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen 1767. In weiten Teilen des Landes war es außerdem zu trocken, und es gab auch wieder einige Wetterextreme und Temperaturrekorde.
