Last week I attended the #OSGeo #CommunitySprint, part of the #BiDS conference, held in #Riga. This was the most intense sprint I ever attended, with the first two days spent at the whiteboard designing hexagonal tesselations.

One more step towards usable #DGGS with the #GeoPlegma project.

Last week the first real code sprint on the #GeoPlegma project took place in #Wageningen. The team was kindly hosted by @opengeohub.

A roadmap is now in place for a first release. Watch this place, as they say.

This week I am at the FOSS4G-Europe conference in Mostar. After two successful days of workshops today the main programme starts. Join me tomorrow at 16h30 in room SA01 for my presentation on Discrete Global Grid Systems and the #GeoPlegma project. "The Shape Of GIS To Come", an ambitious title for an ambitious project (and homage to a great musician).

New kid on the block, as it were. Promising work. Others from the #GeoPlegma team having been in touch with the #A5 developer. Synergies will be sought.
