44 years later, a discarded cigarette did what decades of paperwork couldn’t.
According to CNN, DNA on Sarah Geer’s clothing (killed in Cloverdale, California in 1982) was matched via genetic genealogy; a jury convicted James Unick, 64, on Feb. 13.
Turns out the future keeps receipts. 😼
