I wonder what people call some unnamed genres of stories.

I've heard 'competence porn' for stories like 'The Bear', 'Generation Kill', etc, where characters do their job exceptionally well under stress even if they don't enjoy it or have personal problems, but it's barely googleable 

There is also 'every individual scene is great, you can figure out the implied plot yourself' type of storytelling with 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. How do I even search for such stories??? I want more!
