Ursprünglich als Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Bertelsmann, ZDF, Deutschlandfunk Kultur und 3sat gegründet, wird das Format seit 2023 allein von Bertelsmann weitergeführt – inhaltlich erweitert, aber dem Prinzip treu: Die Bühne gehört der Literatur.
