I just recently learned about two "new"(?) e-mail clients for Linux:

Aerion, which says it's inspired by Geary. https://aerion.3df.io

And Betterbird, which is Thunderbird with quite a few extra bug fixes and small features, like support for systray icon in Linux. https://www.betterbird.eu/

Anyone have any experience with any of these?

Dear #geary and literally every piece of software.

I do *not* need to actually connect to anything, ever, just to use your software. That is how SMTP and IMAP work. I don't actually have to connect *until the moment that I need to send or receive*.

If you don't let me into the application how am I going to know *anything* about whether or not I want to use it??
