Der klappt bei mir im Gegensatz zum BSG beispielsweise auf den ersten Blick problemlos und die Fotos sind mMn viel besser als die der Standardapp.

Die Kameraqualität auf Pixel Geräten mit /e/OS ist trotz #GCam App derart schlecht, dass ich die Kombination aktuell nicht empfehlen kann. Meine Tochter kann mit dem 3XL defacto keine Fotos machen und ich habe mal eine kurze Probe mit meinem Pixel 9 Pro gemacht. Katastrophe. Und beim #Fairphone muss man immer noch zu viele Kompromisse beim Gesamtpaket eingehen und zusätzlich sind die Foren mit deutlich mehr Problemen gefüllt, als bei anderen Smartphones. Das neue Premiumgerät #Hiroh - kann man auch bei #Murena bestellen - macht aufgrund des CEO einen wenig vertrauenswürdigen Eindruck.

Dann bleibt mir ja eigentlich nur #GrapheneOS, wenn ich wirklich etwas ändern möchte. In Kombination mit einem alltagstauglichen und zuverlässigen Gerät.

For the advanced hardware usage and mainly #jpegli compression I use #GoogleCamera on #GrapheneOS.

But that camera is very bloated and exposes a ton of attack surface that way.

Android asks twice which camera app to open when pressing the "double power button" shortcut, when locked and when unlocked. So you can set 2 different apps there.

This is not exposed in the settings and the dialog only appears after installing or uninstalling one of the possible camera apps.

As I had set #GCam as default apps on both invoking methods before, I quickly install #FossifyCamera, turn of the display, use the shortcut.

Android asks to unlock the screen, then the selection dialog appears.

I uninstall FossifyCamera again and do the same, dialog appears again, I select #GrapheneOSCamera there.

Done! Attack surface when screen is locked reduced.
