The film is set during the first Intifada, the uprising of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank against the Israeli occupation, and revolves around Naila, a young woman who attempts the impossible: to be a freedom fighter, wife and mother all at the same time.

Her decision has painful consequences, not only for herself.

Naila represents a generation of women who saw themselves as part of the liberation movement and took on leading roles by organising, mobilising and helping to shape political strategies.

Der Film spielt während der ersten Intifada, dem Aufstand der palästinensischen Bevölkerung im Gazastreifen und im Westjordanland gegen die israelische Besatzung, und dreht sich um Naila, eine junge Frau, die das Unmögliche versucht: gleichzeitig Freiheitskämpferin, Ehefrau und Mutter zu sein.

Ihre Entscheidung hat schmerzhafte Folgen, nicht nur für sie selbst.

Naila steht stellvertretend für eine Generation von Frauen, die sich als Teil der Befreiungsbewegung verstanden und führende Rollen übernahmen, indem sie organisierten, mobilisierten und politische Strategien mitgestalteten.
