Fun history of the Gävle Goat - current right up to this year's collapse ending!

The data set for my #Gävlebocken quilt is Wikipedia and their official judgement is this year’s #goat was fully destroyed by storm winds
So I filled that last 2025 square with black signifying “destroyed some way other than fire”. The 2024 square is straw yellow for “survived”
Declaring this top now finished and adding it to my TBQ pile for 2026

The Gävle Goat made it through most of the yuletide, but fell down in the storm.
He's taking a little rest, the poor dear.

The crane and flatbed have arrived. The wreckage of the collapsed Gävle goat is being dismantled and removed. So GoatWatch is definitely fully over. Can't even watch the heap o' goat.

Collapsing is not the same as burning, but it's still destroyed and I wanna say it counts. Nature itself realised man would fail (again) and decided to set things right.
Well, at least it didn't burn down? (yet)
