Película Gaucho Gaucho

Casi un siglo más tarde, el año pasado, dirigido por Michael Dweck y Gregory Kershaw, se estrenó el documental Gaucho Gaucho (es evidente que, al menos para los norteamericanos, el sonido de la palabra resulta tan atractivo como para no dejar lugar al uso de otra), premiado en Sundance. Con Salta en blanco y negro, muy estilizado, le pifia con la música, pero tiene varios aciertos, más que nada en la elección de paisajes y personajes, que incluyen baqueanos, domadores, costureras, cantores y un gran hallazgo: Guada, la chica que entrena con parientes y amigos para participar de las domas como los hombres, pese al riesgo extra para alguien de su talla y fuerza. También destacan las escenas que muestran la relación con los animales, cargada de mística y saberes que no tienen espacio en la vida urbana hecha de minimascotas, y la instrucción que reciben los nenes, habilísimos con los caballos y el fuego, obligados a llevar cuchillo, lazo y machete no bien empiezan a salir solos al campo.
