Aight, enough time has passed, I can show what this really was about.
It's a 3D platformer heavily inspired by the 3DS Tech Demo : 3D Hopper but disguised as a #gatoslip demo.

I should make a much simpler AFD ROM hack project next that doesn't involve this much computing and shenanigans.

Happy #macromarch, here is the code macro and all the relevant places for sound inclusion for the hack.
I never have to worry about modifying 5 different things, I can just add to the list on the first image~
This single feature of SMPS is what allowed me to pull this off without the need to read note on / off commands and even have them dance while the instrument isn't playing!
(I did have to modify it so each sound channel has its own communication byte, but still)
