I have seen a #Gaslighter try to claim this textbook said that we ALWAYS do division first - i.e. even before multiplication - and that we thus ALWAYS put brackets around it, which in fact we NEVER do. Of course, he didn't post a screenshot like I have, he simply quoted "30÷10x3=(30÷10)x3" and gave the reference, and expected people to just believe him, having just given a reference for his false claim.

Attached: 1 image 1/5 For #FactFriday I wanted to highlight something which can happen that not all people may be aware of, that being when you see someone provide a #reference , it may not support their point! i.e. don't assume that someone's point is correct just because they provided a reference for it. Check it! The first time I ran into this was when I was at University and they were setting an essay for us. They provided an "exemplary essay" on the matter as a guide for us....

It's about defining & imposing a false reality to make others incapable of coherently responding & frequently involves distractive appeals to pop-up values the #gaslighter themselves has no allegiance to: Trump, king of branding, defended w/ praise for generics
