The #economist #billionaires fear: this is how we get a #wealthtax

Is it possible that #Streeting and #Burnham have both been tuning into #GarysEconomics podcast?
Has #Blair inadvertently united the #Labour Party in reminding them that their raison d’être is to fight #inequality ?
Have we finally got two potential leaders who realise it’s the Left they need to be wooing, not the Right?

Gary with a really concise segment on wealth tax:

It really does seem like one fundamental choice: As per Gary, either people with wealth and power taking all the rest from the less powerful, or (if these are the words) democratizing power/wealth via the right taxes.
(And will Labour finally listen and save the UK... I feel like Starmer maybe has a moment of opportunity here.)

I really like Gary's recent podcasts. Today he draws parallels between AI and the industrial revolution ending at his usual conclusion of #taxWealthNotWork
It's a good short history of how the industrial revolution changed the world even if you've no interest in AI (like me).

Also available on YouTube but i don't think it adds anything.
