Tulip 'Flair' (Single Early as it is classified) is one of those spring sirens, sure to stop traffic in a flowerbed or container garden. It never disappoints.

Cornus officinalis 'Kintoki' - Japanese Cornel Dogwood can be grown as a small tree or large shrub and blooms earlier than other dogwoods. In the fall it produces showy, edible fruit. Here in Zone 7B (Georgia) it needs protection from the afternoon sun.

Christmas planters on a hearth for a client. I love white-blooming hydrangeas with all the winter greenery in combination with red winterberry branches. It's so festive and merry.

Winter is coming, but it doesn't have to be without FLOWERS.
Most of my clients' flowerbeds need to be deer-resistant, and I've found Erysimum (wallflowers) to be just as reliable as snapdragons and foxgloves here in Georgia (Zone 7B). They'll bloom now until it gets really cold, but the big show starts in March and runs through May when all the bulbs are blooming.
