Exciting day on the street today.

Garbage day, but the routine is all changed, so everybody is getting chastising stickers for putting their blue box out when it's a shocking switch to black box. Boom - breaking everyone's rhythm. (Not us, we checked ahead). 😁 #keeners

As well, garbage pickup is bumped by a week, so it next will be three weeks since the last one.

Biggest excitement since the ditches were cleared back in '24.

Wasn't expecting snow this morning, but it's thankfully light. It's also 'garbage' day – but not actual garbage, just green bin (organics) and paper.

We don't really have much of either accumulated so I just cleared the path a bit and skipped putting out the bins until next week so the truck/workers need not stop here for tiny amounts.

None of my garbage bins are staying upright today. The winds are still whipping around. I ran out twice already to prop them back up.

When I took a short drive for lunch, I had to dodge and weave around an entire street full of toppled trash bins.

We can make self-driving cars but you can't make a bin that won't topple? City must be run by raccoons.
