Mal an die windowsferne Gamer*innen-Gemeinde,

Bei Windows 10/11 scheint es eine Auslagerungsdatei (pagefile?) zu geben, deren Größe sich offenbar variieren lässt.
Mit der Veränderung dieser Größe konnten Leute wohl erfolgreich häufige Abstürze des Spiels #ofAshAndSteel insbesondere in der Stadt (Greyshaft) reduzieren.

Jetzt gibt es unter wine/proton/whiskey etc. ja diese Datei offenbar so nicht? Glaube ich? Zumindest erwarte ich, dass die Speicherauslagerung hier von Linux/MacOS organisiert wird und nicht von der Kompatibilitätsschicht, oder?

Jedenfalls frage ich mich jetzt, ob es beim Spielen über Kompatibilitätsschicht nicht doch auch eine Möglichkeit gibt, mehr Auslagerungsspeicher zur Verfügung zu stellen und so das ständige Einfrieren des Spiels (in der Stadt führt jedes 2. Speichern dazu, es muss hart gekillt und neugestartet werden, außerhalb läuft es ziemlich stabil eigentlich).
