Old school #ChooseYourOwnAdventure, translated and published by Timun Mas.

The book itself is 'Escape,' originally CYOA #20 by R. A. Montgomery, one of the co-creators of the series, but in Spain it became #13.

The original 1979–1998 run spanned 185 books, with this Spanish publisher translating around 50%, totaling 90 #gamebooks.

'Escape' and its sequel, 'Beyond Escape,' were both revised and republished when Chooseco brought back the #CYOA series in 2005.

I'm only just now learning about this book and I wish I could get a copy to hold.
I want to try recreating it in obsidian with interlinking connects to map out in the graph view too 😂 I'm holding off on looking at the spoilers in case I managed to find a copy somewhere soon... ish.

I’ll always love the classic #CYOA approach: why say "You die" in one sentence when you can stretch the existential dread across multiple paragraphs? Much more kid-friendly! 💀🌵

I have previously written up a detailed review of the earlier Midsomer Murders gamebook in the same series. Midsomer Murders as a choose your own adventure style gamebook

This morning's reading, the second in the Midsomer Murders gamebooks. Very happy with my investigation today, even if there was admittedly lots of fingers stuck in the book's pages at various points! Much fun, captures the essence of the TV series. There is a 3rd Midsomer Murders gamebook planned. #interactiveFiction #gamebooks #CYOA #CrimeFiction #Bookstodon #MidsomerMurders #books

The Armchair General - Gegen Nazis zu kämpfen wird niemals alt. Hier habe ich Alternative Geschichte zum Zweiten Weltkrieg bekommen. Endlich mal wieder ein Papierbuch

Ich bin sehr gespannt. Ich fand damals "Can You #Brexit Without Breaking Britain" schon sehr unterhaltsam.
