I can never remember what I have and haven't recommded. Did I tell y'all about Monster Sanctuary? I feel like I must have, but I suppose it's worth mentioning again.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Metroid and Pokémon had a baby? It might be a bit like Monster Sanctuary - a side-scrolling exploration platformer. You play as a monster trainer, collecting monsters and fighting in turn based, usually 3 on 3, battles.
It's got great pixel art and fun monster design, with a lot of in-depth systems to play around with. The platforming is solid if uninspired, but the monsters are neat and the plot isn't terrible. I really enjoy my time with this game, and I think you will too.
