I have a "mini-me" "Nephew" (he's actually the son of a family friend but we've always been "Uncle" and "Aunty" to him)
He's recently been diagnosed #autistic and he's really into everything I'm into. And, of course, I encourage his interests. I've given him Raspberry Pi's , taught him math, taught him programming, introduced him to some of my favorite authors. Etc.
His mum contacted me yesterday. He wanted to ask about "buying an IP address" ..he's 12 !!
Turns out after a chat what he ACTUALLY wants is to set up a dedicated #Satisfactory Game server. (That is a game server for the game "Satisfactory" a space factory manager)
I know about game hosting but I've never hosted a Satisfactory server myself. He's in London so a London IP with low latency would be best.
I host my own and have a static ip but I don't really want to host his server for him. I mean I could but at the moment I constantly chop and change my server and if im hosting a game for him it limits me doing what I want to do.
Anybody have any experience??
Im a little out of my comfort zone with 3rd party hosting.
